Britten Shuford is President and Managing Principal of Pacifica Capital Group, Inc. and Co-Managing Partner of Wayans-Pacifica Urban Investment Partnership. He joined Pacifica in 1997 and began leading the organization in 2005 with the late co-founder, Steven Ohren.

Mr. Shuford was the architect of Pacifica Capital Group’s third party advisory service group which was launched in 2000 to serve the needs of major financial institutions and REITs. He has assisted many of the largest institutional real estate investors in completing complex strategic acquisitions and dispositions in Los Angeles.

Mr. Shuford has orchestrated more than $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions in the course of his career totaling over 8 million square feet. He was involved in Pacifica’s late 1990’s acquisition cycle in Los Angeles and actively planned and executed the disposition strategy for the portfolio.

In 2006, Mr. Shuford and Keenen Ivory Wayans founded Wayans-Pacifica Urban Investment Partnership. This partnership is focused on investing and developing in communities located in urban areas in California.

Mr. Shuford is Co-Managing Partner of the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, California and is actively involved in the leadership and direction of the operation.

In 2010, Mr. Shuford formed a partnership focused on industrial real estate investment with Michael Brennan, Co-Founder and former President/Chief Executive Officer of First Industrial Realty Trust (NYSE: FR). First Industrial acquired Pacifica Capital Group’s Southern California industrial real estate portfolio, which marked its entry into the California market.

Mr. Shuford was the youngest member ever elected to the Board of Directors of the AIR Commercial Real Estate Association, the largest organization of its kind in the United States. He was the youngest member admitted to the Los Angeles Chapter of SIOR. He is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Shuford earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University
